General Info

Saga Board Games & Coffee is one of those cafés you stumble into once and instantly want to make part of your routine. Located at 105 King St, London, ON N6A 1C1, Canada, this casual spot blends the comfort of a neighborhood café with the playful energy of a board game lounge. From the moment you step inside, it feels relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely designed for people who want to stay awhile.

The menu leans into cozy café classics with a creative twist. One standout is the Hot Chocolate Supreme, which feels more like a dessert than a drink-rich, indulgent, and perfect for colder days in downtown London. Coffee lovers have plenty to explore too. The Nutella Latte is smooth and slightly sweet without being overwhelming, while the Coffee with Whisky adds a bold edge that fits right in with the café’s laid-back evening vibe. For something aromatic and comforting, the Chai Tea Latte 16oz delivers warm spice and balance in every sip.

Food options are simple but satisfying, making it a solid choice for breakfast or a light meal. The Chicken Pesto Panini is a highlight, offering a well-balanced combination of savory chicken, fresh pesto, and toasted bread that pairs effortlessly with any drink on the menu. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or easing into a slow morning, the menu supports both moods without trying too hard.

One of the biggest draws of Saga Board Games & Coffee is how versatile the space feels. It’s genuinely good for working on a laptop, with a calm atmosphere that doesn’t feel rushed. At the same time, the presence of board games adds a social layer, making it easy to transition from work mode to casual hangouts. Cocktails are available too, which helps bridge the gap between daytime café and evening gathering spot.

Reviews often highlight how comfortable and unpretentious the experience is, and that tracks once you’ve spent time there. The café doesn’t rely on gimmicks; instead, it focuses on creating a space where people can relax, work, eat, and connect. Among cafés and casual restaurant locations in the area, Saga Board Games & Coffee stands out for feeling authentic, thoughtfully paced, and easy to enjoy at any time of day.

What customers say?

“ Great atmosphere and the staff were nice. I got a grilled cheese and it was alright I mean I guess I cant expect much from a grilled cheese but the coffee (Americana) and tea (london fog) was really good! The only thing is it was literally freezing in there and I wish it had more tables that were larger for bigger games. I also think they should have more games or 2 of each game. We did play for 5.5hrs so my butt also started hurt lol but we learned alot of new games and some we want to add to our collection. Definitely somewhere i would come back to! ”

“ It’s one of the best cafés I’ve been to. You get variety of boards to play with your friends. A great place to hangout or even a date. ”

“ First time visiting and I was really impressed. My wife and I spent 5+ hours playing board games. It’s perfect for people trying out new board games they might like to add to the collection! The food was good too! I had the buffalo chicken panini and I really enjoyed it, and the americano coffee you just can’t go wrong with! My only negative piece of feedback ( if you want to call it that) is that the ‘cleaning’ station for board games wasn’t being manned, so games sat there ‘unplayable’ the whole time. In reality, people there would just pick them back out the cleaning pile and play them anyway, so it’s kind of pointless. But overall such a great place to have a date day! ”

“ Visiting family here and stopped by this cute cafe. They have the best nutella latte and panini (I had the turkey apple brie). There is a wide selection of board games in the back that we didn't have time to play but I would 100% come back again next time. ”

“ Well-deserved 5 stars. First of all, it's the best latte in London I tried so far. They have a variety of flavors! Panini was huge and also delicious. And that's not even mentioning they have board games! Even though we didn't play them today, we enjoyed the atmosphere and quality coffee. It was very convenient that they had a high chair for smaller kinds. ”
